I’ve been listening to the JRE podcast for some time now and have recently begun watching the Luke Thomas Show. Both Rogan and Thomas have recently interviewed Andrew Yang and I was impressed with his straightforward and data-driven responses.
The concept of UBI (universal basic income) is still a bit new to me but Yang makes an excellent case: automation is eating away more and more of the jobs and we will somewhere in the near future, reach a point where there simply isn’t enough work for most of the population, let alone work that pays a living wage.
